Blog #29-70s and beyond

APUSH!!!  This is your LAST blog!  But, it is kind of intense.  You have to do 3 things...pick one thing from the 70s, one from the 80s, and one from the 90s and explain its significance.  One event has to be a political item, one has to be a social item, and one has to be a technological item.

Have fun!

Blog #28-Vietnam War

Let's create a Vietnam War timeline!

I'll go first!  Each person has to post something from the Vietnam War in the same year or following year as the person before them.  For example:

1954-President Eisenhower explains the domino theory in regards to southeast Asia.  He says, "You have a row of dominoes set up.  You knock over the first one, and what will happen to the last one is the certainty that it will go over very quickly."  He uses this to justify the involvement in Vietnam.

Now, the next person has to post something else from 1954 or something from 1955.

Have fun!  I've missed my APUSHers!

Blog #27-The Civil Rights Movement

The Civil Rights Movement was a significant time in U.S. history.  For this week, pick one person that made a positive or negative impact during the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s and 1960s.  Describe who they were and what role they played during the time period.

Don't repeat a person!

Blog #24-Review

Hello APUSH!

It's time to review for our big test.  This week, pick one thing from the review list and describe its significance.  Be sure to list the who, what, when, where and why of your item.  Ideally, you'd use this as a review tool so be thorough in your explaining so your classmates can be successful!

Blog #23-FDR

It is not hard to find something to compliment FDR about.  However, it isn't too hard to find something negative about FDR either.  To help prepare for the debate coming up, let's do some debating...

The first person to post gets off easy.

Person #1-Post something positive OR negative about FDR and explain why.  FDR is great because...OR FDR is not great because....

Everyone else-Disagree with what the person before you said about FDR OR support it.  Next, type something new about FDR...positive OR negative.

Have fun debating...what kind of president/person was FDR?
